Trusting in the divine guidance of my higher power, I surrender my worries and fears, knowing that within this sacred connection lies the infinite wisdom and love that will guide me towards my true purpose and ultimate fulfillment.
This piece today, my final drawing of the limited palette challenge I set myself is inspired by my session yesterday with Erena. Iām still deciding if it sits within the ārulesā I set myself for the challenge. Only using the 5 colours in the palette. But I am going to give myself a bit of freedom and the space of starting on a black canvas being allowed.
I havenāt really used negative space with my art before. The thought kind of scares me. Because Iām never really sure what details to use, and which to disregard. I think Iāve done it justice.
Negative space in art refers to the empty or unoccupied areas surrounding the main subject or objects, and it plays a crucial role in creating balance, depth, and visual interest within a composition.
Have you liked the limited palette artwork Iāve been creating? Iāve enjoyed creating it immensely. Prints will be available shortly but the digital files are already up on Etsy if youāre a digital file kinda person.

āIn the enchanted realm where fairies frolic, the candy apple reigns supreme as the delectable nectar that sustains their ethereal existence, its glossy magenta shell and sugary sweetness imbued with the very essence of magic.ā
This one has been by far the hardest colour palette to work with. It took me more than 10 attempts at something, and pushing it back a day to think about. In the end I went with a simple apple. Not very creative by Iām happy with how it turned out.

The moonās silver rays danced upon the cascading waterfalls, whispers of ancient secrets echoed through the lush emerald forest, enchanting all who dared to venture near.
I had a bit of a block with a different colour palette, I just couldnāt think of anything so this one was made in a bit of a rush. Iām still happy with the result.

Amidst the perilous depths of a city painted red, a path illuminated by defiant green lamps, offered a glimmer of hope and resilience. The darkness, beckoned the brave to navigate through the treacherous urban maze.
I loved creating this one. It may not be the most sophisticated, or the most skilled but I just enjoyed dreaming this one up. It took much longer than I intended to spend on a piece for this challenge. Enjoying the creative process is why Iām doing this mini challenge.

Their golden faces turned towards the sun, dancing in the summer breeze, spreading warmth and joy and life.
Another quick painting done in #procreatepocket Iāve used the charcoals only. I wanted it to be simple but bright. Sunflowers have to be one of my most favourite flowers. Again, Iāve used a limited colour palette, just to make things fun.

Art just coz I can. I am working on something big, but itās not finished.
I would love to dedicate more of my time to art. I think I need to. Not only do I love it, but Iām not bad at it as well.
Purple is my favourite colour. Iāve said so many times, it calms me, makes me smile. The first image is my digital illustration version of a tree I painted when I first started my art art journey in 2017 (if I remember correctly).
Marigolds – my reference photo and then digital illustration of the photo. I used the pastel pencils in Procreate to create this one. I am loving Procreate for many reasons.
Itās a whole lot less messy and I can do it anywhere. I donāt need internet or Wi-Fi. I often run my Apple Pencil flat though.

Iāve been working really hard the last few weeks on my digital art. Iāve done a few tutorials, played around with the features and had some fun with different styles. The ups and downs of recent times have been a bit difficult for me to navigate. My family and my art has helped my cope ok.
Iām using stamp brushes in procreate. Iāve never been good with faces so using a stencil for now just to get a feel of shapes and shadows has helped a lot. Someday cheating but I say if it looks good, and itās your idea then go for it. Especially if itās just to practice!
Lockdown has been a god send for me. Although I do get lost in my art and forget to exercise, and eat.
I have so many more designs and painting Iāve created and Iām excited to share with you. Come back next week to see some more awesome artwork.
