Watercolour florals

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of creating my best friends wedding table names, and thank you cards.

I created a series of water colour paintings to print on to cream card. I was so worried that I wouldn’t do the flowers justice, but I think in the end the turned out beautifully. What do you all think?

  • Tulips – severely underrated, they colours they come in are immense. They are bright and intricate int he middle. Simply stunning. Roses – the most romantic of all flowers I think and this orange and pink one is no exception.
  • My favourited flower painting is probably the poppy, it turned out so well. They way the colours blend together is just stunning. Lily – this one is my favourite flower in real life, I love how this one turned out so much that I’m in the middle of doing an orange one as well.Daisies – such a simple flower in real life but very tricky to make stand out from white paper! Daffodils – I love the bright yellow colour. This was my best friends Nans favourite flower. Bluebells – simply stunning little flowers and such a short window of bloom.
  • I really enjoyed designing these florals, and I’m very proud of how they turned out. I will be using water colours a lot more I think. They are definitely easier to clean up and set up.

    Floral paintings

I’ve really been getting into the floral paintings over the last few months. I have done some water colours that I’ll show you next week. I’ve also done several sketches for my colouring book.

To check out more of my work go to my Facebook or Instagram feeds to see some work in process pics.

Here are some of my recent acrylics paintings on canvas board.

I really love sun flowers and so does my step mum. I painted these for her when she came over to the uk earlier this year.

Poppies are just beautiful and stunningly bright! These ones are already sold.

Lilies are my favourite flowers and I absolutely love this little one. The most realistic I’ve managed to paint so far.

And the last of my acrylic flowers for now, my yellow roses. I will have to revisit these ones as I’m not 100% happy with them.

Thanks for looking at my work,

    Chrissy xx

Colouring Pages and so much more

I have created a colouring group to teach some art techniques. In this group you will find ideas and tips on paper choice and colouring ideas. You can share your progress and ask questions.

I have created a number of colouring pages that are downloadable for you to print out. There is also a book coming and I am always making more colouring sheets. Check it out at: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1686019051445625/

Just 2 of my current collections. They leave a lot to the colourists imagination. They have been really popular even with the young at heart.

Check out my Instagram and Facebook feeds for work in progress pictures and a release date for my book.

    Cheers,

    Chrissy Turley xx
